JBPM, as the main leader in firefighting and rescue in this country, is aware of the fact that the rapid developments taking place in the world today require the department to make thorough preparations to ensure that the department is on the right track and in line with the mainstream.

This JBPM Strategic Plan is a long-term plan that includes direction, aspirations, analysis of the internal and external environment, key strategies and action plans to ensure that JBPM is able to face current and future challenges and is at the highest level of readiness with the highest capability to carry out its duties and responsibilities efficiently and effectively.

Themed "Towards the Delivery of Fire and Rescue Services That Exceed Community Expectations", this strategic plan is believed to be the catalyst for a corporate culture that is competitive, progressive and sensitive to the needs of the community and the environment.

This plan is designed for the period up to 2020 to respond to the challenges that will be faced by the JBPM in a developed country in accordance with the national vision.

This plan will be reviewed in the fifth year (2012) using methods such as: Balanced scorecard and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Ensure that JBPM is always relevant as an organization that provides firefighting and rescue services, fire prevention advisory services, provides humanitarian services and implements the enforcement of fire safety laws to all citizens.

• Ensure that JBPM has a clear and planned direction to meet current and future challenges.

• To serve as a guide for all firefighters to collectively appreciate and unite towards achieving the noble goal of strengthening the services provided to the community and achieving the highest potential.
