To set fire safety policies and ensure their implementation in accordance with relevant laws through:
 

  • Enforce the Fire Services Act 1988 under the provisions of fire certification and fire hazard elimination.
  • Updating the Fire Safety Division's regulations and instructions regarding fire certificates, fire hazard elimination, building certificates and licensing certificates to be more relevant to current needs.
  • Ensure that passive and active system protection requirements in all premises meet the requirements in current legal provisions and codes of practice.
  • Formulate regulatory requirements and standards in collaboration with domestic research agencies regarding the use of fire safety materials and installation systems.
  • Assess and ensure fire safety installations comply with current regulations and standards.
  • Cultivate fire safety awareness among all levels of society through relevant campaigns according to target groups.
